  • OCaml (very) Briefly

In a my previous post we installed OCaml. I was pedantic about it, so it wasn’t as easy as just using apt or dnf. Now that we have it installed and working, let’s take a look at OCaml and try to get comfortable with the basics.

  • Setting up Mutt

I have been using Gmail since college. I don’t know exactly, but it was sometime in the early 2000s. Mutt has been around this whole time and yet I have never used it. I just always assumed I would not like it because it could not display pictures. I mean, how many emails do you get, especially that are not tech related, that do not include images?

  • Learning OCaml

I have spent my entire career basically using two major languages; or at least language families. The first is the .NET languages. I started with VB.NET, moved to C#, and then ended up going back to VB.NET. I have spent more time than I would like to admit to dabbling in VBA, but honestly, I don’t really count that.

It is by no means an enjoyable task, and it is one that has taken me quite a while to really get the hang of. While I have never worked as a recruiter, I have, in my opinion, acquired quite a bit of wisdom about how this process works (in the United States anyway).

  • Docker Basics in 30 seconds

When I first started learning Docker, it was really baffling for me. I thought I understood Linux and it’s terminology pretty well, but Docker really threw me for a loop. In hindsight it feels pretty silly, but at the time it was serious and I was lost. So this is a quick primer for anyone else who is learning Docker and confused by all the new words.

  • How I Build my Resume

I am really proud of my resume. I have been using the same template for over a decade now, but compared to 90% of the resumes I see in the wild mine still ranks among some of best looking in my opinion. How do I do it? Let’s take a look!
